I Love David Gergen and The Daily Beast
Hi anyone and everyone or whoever,
So I wrote a little love letter to the love of my CNN life, David Gergen, and it was posted today on Tina Brown’s new web thingy The Daily Beast. You can read it here:

I truly do love the Gerg and am very excited to watch him analyze tonight’s debate. I have to go figure out what to wear, just in case all of a sudden technology magically changes and he can see me through the screen. (As my friend’s beautiful mother Ilene used to say, “Always look your best because you never know who you’re gonna meet.” That has haunted me forever. Looking your best is exhausting. Usually when I look my best I also look exhausted from getting to that best point. There’s no winning.)

gergen is really smart, but i can’t watch very much of the news without feeling like my head is going to explode. I can only take olbermann and maddow. plus, you always looked pretty hot when you were on spade’s show. like the lovely art-school ladies in my art-history classes.

I had never even heard of you before, but I just saw a clip of you on Anderson Cooper’s CNN show, declaring your crush on David Gergen, and I just thought it was the most hilarious thing I had seen in a long time. The poor guy was so embarrassed. Too funny. Had to tell you I loved it! But, really, David Gergen?? Personally, I would’ve gone with Chris Matthews.

11:20pm and I’m wondering how much longer I have to wait to see my friend –and “look my best” — It is so exhausting. and the truth is, after initial contact, you stop maintaining “your best” — it is nice to know I’m not the only one….
I saw the clip on CNN, and I was hysterical! I think David Gergen is sharp, even and so humble…So I agree all the way!

I like gergen, he always makes great remarks. BUT Anderson cooper is my CRUSH! David….is funny, he always speaks really low as if he were still advising the president and didnt want anyone else to hear. ha!!

I love David Gergen too, he is the best. I wish he was my dad. Soo calm, educated, and reasonable. My husband and I listen the CNN mostly just to here his take on things. Keep it up.
