Stevie Wonder
I must mention that I am practically in tears over the fact that I didn’t get my shit together to get tickets to Stevie Wonder at Madison Square Garden last night. I mean what am I doing with my life if I can’t make that a priority?????? I’m sitting here listening to “As” from Songs in the Key of Life and I’m seriously gonna lose it, I’m so annoyed with myself.

sorry you didn’t get to see your concert. maybe it will lead to a creative break through? or maybe it just sucks and nothing good will come of it. just call friends. even if you can’t find anyone, it will give you something to do.

have you thought of doing a video blog, or just audio evn maybe, of the stand up sets. just sit down and talk, and upload it if you like it. would that help you more “getting yourself out there” wise, or is that not the point of the blog; which i like as it is as well. but you are very cute, and your visual and auditory presences are certainly positives. or are you really just trying to force yourself to get started on literary narratives, sans (not the Horatio kind) performance?

It’s a shame you didn’t get tickets for the Steven Wonder show, but might I suggest going anyway and standing screaming in the parking lot? That’s what I’ll probably do.
I missed seeing The Ramones last time they slunk into town, and after all these years it still makes me disappointed in myself. What I’m saying is that feeling will never go away for the rest of your life.

i love “As” too. what’s up with the line: “till eight times eight times eight is four”? i guess stevie means until 8*8*8=512 is 4 or until the impossible but wtf? whatever. it’s a great song.
